Ms. Mai Hirose is a doctoral student at Kobe University’s Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS) and holds the position of a Ph.D. Fellow. Beginning her academic journey in educational development during her undergraduate studies, she later served as an elementary school teacher and gained experience as a JICA Volunteer in Nicaragua. Her research focuses on early childhood education, specifically the cognitive and non-cognitive development of children, with a current emphasis on researching early childhood education in Mongolia. She holds an Economics degree from Kobe University’s Graduate School. Furthermore, she completed an internship at the United Nations Information Centre.
