Dr. Nelson Manhisse holds a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies, Kobe University, where he is currently a Research Fellow. His doctoral dissertation examined the demand for education among smallholder households in Mozambique. Other areas of interest include service delivery and educational outcomes in primary education, emphasizing teacher characteristics, and skills formation and employability for youth from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds. Previously, he worked as a researcher and administrator in high education in Mozambique. Besides, he spends time writing fiction, poetry, and computer programs.
