Message to Potential Candidates to Ogawa Seminar:
Professor Ogawa’s seminar provides a great learning environment where you can develop high-level expertise, and practical and communication skills in English. It would be an arduous learning journey to be equipped with knowledge, experience, skills, and linguistic ability which would be necessary to work for international organizations or in developing countries in the area of international cooperation. However, in Ogawa’s seminar, through Professor Ogawa’s plentiful and professional experiences, knowledge and skills, we are able to improve and acquire the aforementioned abilities in an efficient and effective manner. Moreover, we are able to utilize technical knowledge and skills acquired in this seminar through abundant practical opportunities, such as internships and field research. For instance, I conducted an internship at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) in Cambodia from September 4th to 30th, 2017. Throughout the internship in the MoEYS in Cambodia, I was not only able toobtain various networking opportunities with international organizations and enrich perspectives on working in international fields, but I was also able to explore the real-world settings in Cambodian education. Additionally, during the following year, with Professor Ogawa’s recommendation, I had an opportunity to participate in the Campus Asia (CA) double degree program at Korea University, Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS). This irreplaceable experience helped me to enhance my academic writing and research skills. In this way, under the supervision of Professor Ogawa, you are able to cultivate attributes and capacity that are ideally suited to the demands for working in international organizations as a specialist.
I highly recommend those who are interested in Education Development and Economics of Education or would like to work for international organizations to participate in Ogawa’s seminar. I am looking forward to seeing you there.
