PHAM Thi Lac Thu is a doctoral student at the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies, Kobe University. She obtained master degree in economics at Kobe University. Her research interest focuses on South and Southeast Asia, early childhood care and education (ECCE), teacher education and policy, health and education. Both her master thesis and her doctoral dissertation focus on early childhood care and education in Vietnam. Her doctoral dissertation explores family and school perspectives related to early childhood education for child health development in Vietnam. The dissertation focuses on analyzing cases of ECCE schools, which are applying child-centered and theme-based approach in curriculum and pedagogy for teaching and learning.
