The 2017 International Education Development Forum at Nagoya University

The 2017 International Education Development Forum (IEDF) was held in Nagoya University’s Graduate School of International Development (GSID) on November 3rd and 4th, 2017. Among the highlights of the event, the Forum put together a great panel of speakers, in a special symposium that tackled issues on “Equity of Education in Global Context”. Speakers included Professor Aaron Benavot from State University of New York at Albany in the USA/former Director of the UNESCO EFA: Global Monitoring Report; Dr. Sam Sideth Dy from the Cambodian Ministry of Education Youth and Sports; and Dr. Jialing Han from Beijing Academy of Social Sciences in China.

IEDF 2017 at Nagoya UniversityIEDF 2017 had over 120 participants from six institutions, including Kobe University’s Visiting Professor Eduardo Velez Bustillo, as well as other scholars and researchers with over 36 presentations. During the Forum, twelve of Professor Keiichi Ogawa’s graduate students presented their full papers or proposals and received valuable and constructive comments from the professors.
