Dr. Ki-Seok (Korbil) Kim, Emeritus Professor at Seoul National University, has arrived in Kobe, Japan on April 1, 2014 and will stay here until June 30, 2014. As an Invited Professor, he conducts his research on “Higher Education in South Korea” in GSICS at Kobe University.
Professor Kim said, “I just came back HOME. It was my honorable sojourn with Prof. Ogawa’s zemi (or Mong) that I was decorated the Knight of National Order from the President of Burkina Faso. I plan to complete writing a book on the making of Korean tertiary education.”
Dr. Kim was a Visiting Professor in GSICS two years ago and taught a class in Special Lecture on Development Management to graduate school students. This time, he is an Invited Professor and intends to focus his attention on his research and providing students with his seminars.
Dr. Kim is also a Chairman and Chief Field-working Officer in Educators without Borders (International NGO) and is very active in development practices.
