Message to Potential Candidates to Ogawa Seminar:
My name is Xue Jianxin, and the reason I chose to pursue education studies stems from a year-long teaching assistance program I participated in, which took place in underdeveloped regions of China. During that time, I witnessed firsthand how economic factors significantly impact students’ ability to advance in their education. This experience led me to reflect deeply on the meaning and value of education, and it strengthened my resolve to research and address the inequalities within the system.
Through these experiences, I came to realize that education is not just a means of transmitting knowledge; it also plays a crucial role in shaping society and fostering progress. With this understanding, I decided to dedicate my academic and professional career to the field of education, focusing on how education can drive social change and promote fairness.
I am truly grateful to Professor Ogawa for giving me the opportunity to join the GSICS program and his seminar. Here, I have the chance to engage with cutting-edge knowledge in the field of education and participate in regular academic sessions led by experts from the educational sector. Moreover, GSICS provides many international platforms for personal and professional development, which not only supports my research interests but also positively impacts my future career path.
To all potential applicants, if you are driven by a desire for continuous improvement, keen to further your studies in the field of education, and wish to make a positive impact on society, I encourage you to consider joining the GSICS program and Professor Ogawa’s seminar.
