Message to Potential Candidates to Ogawa Seminar:
Hello! こんにちは! 你好! My name is Qian Long, Here is my story and what I would like to say to potential applicants. I thank you in advance for your patience in reading through all of this, and I hope you find some inspiration in it.
In my early school years, I faced significant injustice and many instances of bullying. Combined with the educational disparities caused by factors such as family background and the education selection system, and the inequality issues in education that I became aware of at that time, these experiences sparked reflections on the practical meaning and value of education.
From then on, these pains also became my driving force, and I began to resolve to devote all my energy to powerlifting, a sport similar to weightlifting, despite being a high school student with no systematic athletic training or professional sports coaching. I endeavored on this arduous journey with the hope that at the end of this difficult path, I could find my own redemption and inner peace. At that time, I vowed that I would never yield and give up on this journey.
As time went by, through this journey, what I experienced and gained made me realize that the social function of education is a topic worthy of deep exploration. However, as I grew older and gained more life experience, I came to understand that the impact of education extends far beyond the ivory tower of schools. It plays a pivotal role in bringing about proactive change in areas such as societal systems, corporate operations, and sports. Similarly to the educational issues I observed during my early school days, there are many pain points within these fields that await discovery, attention, and resolution.
Therefore, I feel honored that Professor Ogawa has given me the opportunity to join the GSICS program and his seminar. In this seminar, you not only get frequent exposure to cutting-edge knowledge in the field of education but also regularly attend academic sharing sessions featuring industry elites from the educational sector. At the same time, you have the opportunity to showcase yourself on larger stages such as international organizations, which not only aids in your own research interests but also benefits your future career development.
Lastly, I would like to say that if you have a mindset of continuous improvement, a desire to further your studies in the field of education, and a wish to see yourself on the international stage, then please consider joining GSICS and Professor Ogawa’s seminar.
