Advanced Overseas Research in Vietnam (Truong Thu Ha)
I have conducted my field study in two major cities in Vietnam, Hanoi and Hue from April 11 to 27, 2014. The purpose of this overseas research is twofold: to...
Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS), Kobe University
As of September 2021, five new students joined Ogawa seminar, of which three are master students and two are research students.
The new master students are: Ms. Xinyu Ji, from China, graduated from Xihua University in China with a bachelor’s degree in Japanese; Mr. Sun Chang Sun, also from China, graduated from Jinling Institute of Technology in China with a bachelors’ degree in Economics; Ms. Jeon Seol-hee, from Korea University in South Korea which is linked to Kobe University through the Campus Asis Program. She graduated from Royal University of Phnom Penh with a bachelor’s degree in Education in Teaching English as Foreign Language in 2019 and had an internship at KOICA, Incheon International Development Cooperation Center from July 2020 to January 2021.
The new research students are: Ms. Kexin Chen, from China, graduated from Guangdong University of Technology in June 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics; and Mr. Thavrith Sara, from Cambodia, who is a former English Teacher at Australian Centre for Education. He also had an internship at Cambodian Education Forum from June to November in 2021.
Some of the new students are unable to reach Japan and have a welcome party as before due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They can only meet with Professor Ogawa and other students online. However, through the active online interaction, everyone quickly became familiar with each other and integrated into Professor Ogawa’s family of students.
I wish that the pandemic will be alleviated as soon as possible so that the new students will be able to enter Japan and we can meet face-to-face to organize offline activities without any worries!
