Professor Ogawa’s lecture open the series about the World Bank and the Sustainable Development Goals

Professor Keiichi Ogawa organized the series of lectures on the topic of World Bank (WB) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The first lecture, by him, was on December 19th. In his lecture, he presented the organization of the World Bank Group, described how it works to help the achievement of the SDGs, and also provided suggestions for students on how to get employed by the bank.

The series of “World Bank and SDGs” will occur in December 2021 and January 2022. It includes the following lectures:

  • Dr. Harry Patrinos, Practice Manager, WB – Human Capital Index: Learning Outcomes
  • Dr. Shiro Nakata, Senior Education Economist, WB – Technical Vocational Education and Training and SDGs
  • Dr. Shiro Nakata, Senior Education Economist, WB – Green Jobs, Skills and Climate Change for SDGs

These lectures will be a significant opportunity for the students to have general grasp and deep knowledge of the activities of the World Bank towards achieving the SDGs. At the same time, students will be able to understand the best ways to find consultant and staff positions in the bank, a dream for many of them.
