On May 15, 2026, the CAMPUS Asia Program at the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at Korea University, in collaboration with Kobe University’s Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS) celebrated the 15th anniversary of the CAMPUS Asia Plus Program with a special event: the International Career Development Forum & Alumni Networking Event. Held at the Seoktap Hall in the Sudang Faculty House, the forum was attended by a distinguished group of academic leaders and practitioners, including Professor Keiichi Ogawa from Kobe University as the keynote speaker, alongside nearly 50 CAMPUS Asia alumni and GSIS students.
The event opened with congratulatory remarks from Professor Seungho Lee, Dean of GSIS, followed by a warm welcome from Professor Jung-Sun Han, former Dean and Program Manager for CAMPUS Asia at KU GSIS. The highlight was the keynote lecture by Vice Dean/ Professor Keiichi Ogawa of GSICS, Kobe University. Drawing on his extensive experience as a World Bank education economist and UNESCO IIEP governing board member, Professor Ogawa provided a masterclass on global career pathways in international organizations. His lecture was met with enthusiastic engagement from the GSIS students, who found his strategic insights and practical advice deeply motivational.
The keynote speech was followed by alumni lecture series featuring five graduates who have successfully navigated the global job market. Hyun-Kyung Lee (UNICEF, Kobe double degree alumna), Sangsun Kwon (UN IOM, Kobe exchange alumnus), and Hoyoung Jo (UNEP, Fudan double degree alumnus) shared their stories via Zoom, while Seungheui Woo (Former Good Neighbors) and Dr. Seil Kim (KOICA & World Bank, Kobe double degree & Kobe PhD) joined in person to offer their expertise. Each speaker provided a unique roadmap to the field of international development, emphasizing how the CAMPUS Asia program’s trilateral academic network gave them a critical regional lens and the confidence to work across borders.
The evening concluded with a networking dinner where more than 50 participants engaged in vibrant dialogue, transforming the formal celebration into a meaningful reunion. This gathering not only honored 15 years of academic cooperation but also reinforced the enduring partnership between Korea University and Kobe University in shaping the next generation of global leaders.
